Affilate marketing could possibly be your ticket to financial freedom, if you are willing to learn the ropes, take action, be persistant and stay focused. This involves doing keyword research to see if there is a need for what you are offering. Don't be afraid of competition as long as there's not so many that it just wouldn't be smart to try and enter that market. An example of this would be visiting Google.com and after researching your primary keyword phrase seeing a lot of pay per click advertisors bidding on that phrase. You are looking for "low hanging fruit". These are keywords that have decent traffic, some competition, but not a huge amount and an affiliate marketing idea that will be profitable enough to make it worth your while to do the work.

I always recommend that new people try to start off in affiliate marketing by doing something that they love to do. Look at the markets FIRST! Get yourself prepared with a few affiliate marketing ideas and solid research before you start and your odds of succeeding will skyrocket! Good luck!

Authors, entrepreneurs and business owners know they need keywords in their web site, in their press releases and in their articles but they don't often know how to find these keywords or what the best keywords are to use.

When your web designer says to you: "Pick your keywords for your web site" the first thing you think of are the root or "gut feel" keywords. Are you going to go online and search for the keyword: "Doctor" Doubtful. If, as the doctor, you used the keyword "doctor" you'd end up with a mishmash of traffic to your site and, if you were using these keywords for articles or press releases, neither of those would bring up much in the search engines.

Why keywords?

Let's say you're looking for a red car, you want a new car and it has to be red. So you plug in the keywords: red + Lexus, what do you find?

Getting clear, getting focused

So how can you get focused?

Other ways to gain access to keywords are keyword search tools like Wordtracker and Overture. According to AME's keyword expert, Susan Gilbert: "If you go to http://inventory.overture.com and type in your keyword, you will get the results from search in Yahoo for that term only for the prior month.

"Search numbers are only part of the equation, however. It's finding the perfect relationship between a keyword that has enough searches with low(er) competition that will tell you the best keyword terms for your purpose."

Ideally you want a keyword that's being searched on that doesn't have a ton of supply. Let's take the diet industry as an example, if you're trying to promote your message of diet and healthy living, using the word "diet" in your article, press release or web site keywords probably won't get you much ranking. Why? Well everyone in this market is using this same word, but if you dig even further into this market you'll find that the search term: "Lose weight fast" is getting a lot of searches but very few returns. Test them. You'll see very quickly if they're working or if they're too general to matter. According to Gilbert: "Keywords could work for months or years. Use the keywords immediately, and for as long as you are getting results."

There are 3 rules you absolutely MUST follow in order to avoid going down the wrong product path.

These rules have nothing to do with researching supply and demand or locating a niche market to sell to. They actually precede that kind of research. And if you violate one of them, then I can guarantee the product you choose will NOT be a good money maker.

Rule #1: Don't sell something people can easily buy at the local supermarket!

Or mall, or hardware store, or electronics shop, or sports store, etc. etc.

Why would people go online to buy something they can easily get on their regular weekly shopping trip?

Unless you can offer something truly unique -- such as a lower price or a hard-to-find product -- you'll find it tough to compete with the convenience and the lack of shipping costs those offline alternatives offer.

Rule #2: Don't sell a "time-sensitive" product!

If you try to sell something people need RIGHT AWAY, you're going to have a hard time convincing them to wait a few days for it to be shipped to them.

For example, if you do proper keyword research you'll see that thousands of people do searches every month on the keyword, "cure sore throat fast."

But here's the challenge: If someone wants to cure a sore throat fast, do you think they're going to wait for you to ship a herbal remedy? No! They're looking for immediate results. And once their cold has gone, their desire to buy any kind of cough remedy will vanish along with it.

Rule #3: Don't enter a market with a massive amount of competition!

If there's already a huge number of savvy marketers selling to your intended market, you should probably choose a different market.

Take world-famous online "shopping mall" Amazon.com, for example. They're one of the hugest online vendors out there. If you decide to start your own catalog site selling a general selection of books, or music, or DVDs, how will you ever be able to compete with an industry giant like Amazon?

Unless you figure out a way to offer a lower price (doubtful) or cater to a very specific niche Amazon hasn't yet tapped (difficult), you're going to have a hard time getting your business off the ground.

Nothing is impossible... but the more competitive a market, the more time and money it will cost for you to become successful.

The dollar traded to a fresh multi-year low against the euro in the early Friday session to 1.3627, a level not seen since Dec 2004 when the single currency reached a record high at 1.3664. Given recent price action, particularly yesterday’s first close above 1.36 -- the pair remains well bid with traders intent on pushing the euro to a new all-time high against the dollar.

The outlook for the greenback continues to deteriorate with the US economy showing further signs of slowdown and increased likelihood for a Fed rate cut this year. There is no US data slated for today, but next week will see several key gauges on the state of the economy – with indicators on the housing market, consumer confidence, manufacturing, inflation and most importantly, growth. We’ll receive a first glimpse of Q1 GDP next Friday and it is expected to reveal further slowing in economic activity, down to 2.0% versus Q4 at 2.5%. Also, traders will closely scrutinize the PCE reading – the Fed’s preferred indicator of inflation, for clues on the timing of a potential rate cut this year.

Dollar Remains Under Pressure

The greenback remains under pressure from discrepancies between the US and European economic outlook and central bank interest rates. The euro rallied to as high as 1.3615 versus the dollar today. Since the market is excited at pushing the euro and sterling further to new territories and there are few soon-to-be-released key US data which the dollar could count on, these two currencies are likely to sustain gains against the dollar in the remaining of this week.

The market will look at US weekly jobless claims and March leading economic indicators due tomorrow for more indication on the economy outlook.

EURUSD will face interim resistance at 1.36, followed by 1.3620 and 1.3650. Additional ceilings will emerge at 1.3670, backed by 1.37. Support starts at 1.3560, backed by 1.3530, 1.35 and 1.3480. Subsequent floors are eyed at 1.3450.

Sterling Rallied on BOE Minutes

The sterling climbed to 2.0133, the highest against the dollar in 26 years, after the minutes of the Bank of England’s April Monetary Policy meeting showed two policy makers voted to raise interest rates.

A better-than-expected job report boosted the currency further. UK claimant count fell 9.2k in March, more than a 3.8k drop in the previous month and beating the estimate of –5k. Average earnings rose 4.6% in the three months to February, exceeding the 4.5% level which the Bank of England considers consistent with stable inflation.

The cable retraced back to around 2.0050 versus the dollar during Wednesday US trading session, but seems stands firmly above 2.0000 key level. Based on policy makers’ sentiment shown in the minutes due today and recent upbeat economic data, we see a big chance for a rate hike by the Bank of England in May.

GBPUSD encounters interim resistance at 2.0060, backed by 2.0100, and 2.0130. Subsequent ceilings will emerge at 2.0150, followed by 2.0180 and 2.0200. On the downside, support begins at 2.0020, followed by 2.0000 and 1.9980. Additional floors are eyed at 1.9950, backed by 1.9920 and 1.99.

The G7 meeting ended with no surprise in Washington this weekend, but with Euro approaching 2004 highs, the European Central Bank (ECB) is preparing a new rates rise in the next few months.

The Federal Reserve will probably cut rates in the second semester of 2007

Last week’s Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) minutes was pretty much a photocopy of previous reports. In fact, the Federal Reserve remains concern about inflation treats, while it closely watches the slower growth of the economy in the United States. This apparent state of conflict will probably keep the Fed on hold for the first part of 2007, but a new rate cut in the second half the year could be expected. In the United States recent data confirms that price are steadily increasing, while the economy is moderating. In effect, inflation should remain an issue for some years to come for world economies, as commodity markets appear to only have performed the first leg up of the cyclical bull market that began with the turn from the old to the new century.

In March, both U.S. export and import prices, which account for 17% of all goods bought in the U.S, raised more than market forecast by targeting month over month 0.7% and 1.7% respectively. Excluding petroleum prices import’s increase was more tenuous (+0.3%). However, the persistent weakness of the U.S. dollar may inspire fears of further import price inflation in the future. The headline Producer Price Index (PPI) increased 1.0% month over month and 3.2% year over year, above forecasts of 0.7% and 3.0% respectively. It has been the fastest pace of growth since August 2006. The jump in the index mirrored higher energy (+3.6%) and food prices (+1.4%). It was the second month of consistent gains in these components. Core PPI, on the other hand, rose 1.7% in March from a year earlier, versus a market consensus of 1.8% (February rate). Finally, the University of Michigan's preliminary index of sentiment decreased to an eight-month low of 85.3 in April from 88.4 in March. Expectations were for a decline to 87.50. Consumers surveyed expected an inflation rate of 3.3 percent in one year, versus last month's forecast of 3.0 percent. The expectations index, viewed by some analysts as an indicator of future spending, declined to 74.3, the lowest since August, from 78.7 in March.

As the negative dollar’s momentum unfolds, positive economic numbers are quickly digested by the market. In February, as an example, the U.S. international trade deficit surprisely narrowed to $58.44 billion from $58.88 billion dollars in January. Expectations were for a widening in the deficit to $60 billion. It was the result of a pull-back in both exports and imports. Exports declined 2.2%, after increasing 1.2% in January. Imports dropped 1.8%, after the 0.6% decline the previous month. The deficit with China, which accounts for 32% of U.S. trade deficit, decreased 13% to $18.43 billion. In January, it moved to $21.27 billion. Exports jumped 6.1%, while imports from China tumbled 10.0%. Net trade could provide only a marginal contribution to economic growth in the first quarter. In fact, last week data might anticipate another decline in imports and a moderate export increase. Jobless claims, on the other hand, jumped to the highest level since February’s 356,000 units. They rose 19,000 units to 342,000 in the week ended April 7th. This time, no special weather factors appear to have played a role in the broad base increase. The four-week average increased to 323,250, up 7000, consistent with a possible moderation in the labor market. The overall picture remains nevertheless positive, considering that the unemployment rate is down to a six-year low of 4.4%.

The European Central Bank intervention is only delayed

With no surprise, the European Central Bank (ECB) left rates unchanged at 3.75%. At the press conference, Mr. Trichet did not repeat the word "vigilance" regarding the bank's position on inflation surveillance. Nonetheless, he made clear that the ECB will "very closely monitor" prices developments and will act in a "firm and timely manner". President Trichet said he would not alter expectations that policy makers will raise their benchmark interest rate in June. Thus confirming a possible interest rates rise in the coming months, if the European economy and inflation rate will continue to grow with the same intensity shown in the first months of 2007. Economic data continues to support this hypothesis. In February, Eurozone Industrial Production rose to 0.6% month over month and to 4.1% year over year.

Euro is approaching 2004 highs

The trend remains strongly up for the European currency. Its price has overcome key technical levels at 1.3490 and can now target 1.3580, 1.3620, eventually 1.37. The next time/resistance area could be set at around April 20th, but only a decline below 1.3340 will target 1.32, 1.3150.

Coffee is prepared by roasting and then grinding up the ingredients, or sometimes by decoction. It is normally stored as a powder or as granules. This is dropped directly into the hot water. Some preparations dissolve completely, while others remain partly solid, giving the drink a gritty texture.

Where the coffee remains gritty, it must be left to infuse before drinking. To avoid the gritty texture, a machine such as a coffee percolator or French press may be used.

Generic Western Coffee is the roasted seeds of either Coffea arabica or Coffea canephora. Its properties are similar to the generic tea plant Camelia Sinensis, but it has about twice as much caffeine, a richer, mellower taste, and different additives. The roasting process eliminates caffeine, and (like tea) the darker the coffee, the less caffeine it contains. When coffee is scarce, people often drink coffee substitutes.

Herbal teas include many of the coffee substitutes, and others; but they are used here for a wide range of properties, rather than merely to simulate the taste of coffee.
